Is ShowDogCentral affiliated with the AKC?
No. ShowDogCentral is an independent tool built by dog show exhibitors. We aggregate publicly available AKC event data and add features AKC.org does not offer — community judge ratings, show tracking, point schedules, and custom saved searches. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the American Kennel Club.
How often is event, judge, and club data updated?
Data is refreshed daily from AKC's public event system. New event listings typically appear in ShowDogCentral within 24 hours of AKC posting them, and judge changes propagate on the same cadence.
How does the 30-day free trial work?
Sign up with just your name and email — no credit card required. You get 30 days of full access to every feature. If you want to continue, upgrade to $10/month or $100/year. If not, your account simply expires with nothing billed.
Which event types does ShowDogCentral cover?
All AKC event types — conformation, obedience, rally, agility, fast CAT, hunting tests, and more. You can filter by event type across every search.
Can I see a judge's past event history and community ratings?
Yes. Every judge profile shows past and upcoming assignments (filterable by breed), community ratings, your personal rating and notes, and a record of shows you have been shown under that judge.
What's the difference between the monthly and yearly plans?
Both plans include every feature. Monthly is $10 per month billed monthly. Yearly is $100 per year (about $8.33/month), saving $20 compared to 12 monthly payments.
Can I cancel my subscription anytime?
Yes. Cancel from your account settings — no phone calls, no contracts. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You can also cancel during the 30-day free trial with no charge.
Do you have a mobile app?
ShowDogCentral is a responsive web app that works on iPhone, iPad, Android, and desktop. No app store download required — open your mobile browser and sign in. Add ShowDogCentral to your home screen for one-tap access.
How do I find out who is judging an upcoming AKC dog show?
Open ShowDogCentral, run a search filtered by your breed and date range, and the results table shows the breed judge, group judge, NOHS group judge, Best in Show judge, and class judge for every show in scope. Click any judge name to open their full profile — past and upcoming assignments, community ratings, and your private notes from prior shows you have shown under them.
Do you have point schedules for every AKC breed?
Yes. We carry the full AKC point schedule for every breed across all four divisions. Look up your breed and immediately see how many dogs and bitches you need to compete against to earn one, two, three, four, or five points in your division. The schedule updates with AKC each year so you are always seeing the current numbers.
What is a premium list and where do I find it?
A premium list (often abbreviated PL) is the official entry document each AKC club publishes for an event. It includes the full schedule, judges, fees, entry deadlines, and the entry form. ShowDogCentral aggregates premium lists alongside judging programs (JP), entry forms (EF), and additional documents (ADDPRM) and surfaces them as one-click downloads from your search results — no hunting across club websites.
Can I track which dog shows and trials I have entered or attended?
Yes. Every event in your search results has a Save button that opens a menu with three statuses: Interested (you are considering it), Entered (you have submitted your entry), and Shown (you actually attended and competed). The statuses are your own tracker — they never send an entry. Saved events roll up into the Saved Events page so you can see your full season at a glance, and Shown entries feed your judge profile pages with a record of which judges have evaluated your dogs.
Does ShowDogCentral show entry deadlines and closing dates?
Yes. Every event in search results displays its closing date with a clear status pill — Open (still accepting entries), Closing soon (within seven days), or Closed (entries no longer accepted). The date itself is shown directly so you can plan around your own schedule. Save an event and you get a reminder three days before its entries close; save a search and you get a digest whenever new matching events are posted.
